RBI Academy Drill – Mixing Pitches in Practice

RBI Academy coach Nick Kern talks about mixing pitches in practice. As Coach Nick says he believes this is the number one hitting drill for advanced players. As a coach you need to find a distance where you can throw at a good velocity but also being able to throw strikes and having some off-speed pitches to throw as well. As a baseball you need to train to be able to hit the more difficult pitchers and you can work on that by doing this drill. A good point Coach Nick says in this video is “to try and train at level that is comparable or more difficult than you’re going to face in a game”.
