RBI Academy Welcomes New Coaches: Darrien and Liam!

We’re excited to announce two incredible additions to our coaching team at RBI Academy: These coaches bring years of experience and are eager to help players at every level improve their pitching.

Get to Know Coach Darrien

Coach Darrien’s baseball journey began when he was 9 years old. His impressive career includes:

• Guiding his team to win the Maryland state championship at age 11.
• Winning state titles in high school and receiving preseason All-American recognition.
• Playing college baseball at Delaware State and Keiser University competing in both Division I and NAIA.
• Playing in well-known leagues like Cape Cod and NECBL where he earned the title of Reliever of the Year.

Fun Fact: Coach Darrien is a skilled left-handed pitcher, offering unique insights into pitching from a lefty’s perspective!

Coach Darrien now offers one-on-one pitching sessions every Monday from 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM at our Smeaton Grange facility. His sessions help players to improve their pitching technique, boost their self-assurance, and gain knowledge from an experienced professional.

Get to Know Coach Liam

Coach Liam’s path from a local pitcher to a pro player will make you sit up and take notice. 

Here’s what he’s done:

• He’s trained with the best: Driveline Tread, and PUSH Performance.
• He started as a high school pitcher throwing in the low 80s and became a pro pitcher hitting 98 mph.
• He played college baseball for three years at Lamar Community College and Tennessee Wesleyan University.
• The LA Dodgers signed him in 2022, and he played for Team Australia in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
• Right now, he pitches for the Sydney Blue Sox.

You can team up with Coach Liam to boost your pitching skills! He’s available every Tuesday Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM at Rouse Hill. If you’re new to pitching or want to step up your game, Coach Liam’s sessions are made to help you hit your targets.
